Other Payments – Member Benefits

By registering as a member of xkenya.com, you are entitled to benefit from the various e-Payment services available through our online transaction gateway, including amongst others Air-Time Purchases, Money Transfers, Utility Payments, Academic Fees, and Other Payments.

Other Payments – Pay for various services and products such as insurance, medical, and other products for and on behalf of your dependants/beneficiaries in Kenya. Also make charity donations through established funds. The following services and products can be paid for through our e-Payment service:

• Insurance Policies
• Medical Schemes
• Club Memberships
• Periodical Subscriptions
• Professional Fees (Lawyers, Architects, etc.)
• Mortgage and other loan repayments
• Real Estate Agents and Property Managers
• Charity Donations

Please note that we can only process payments made to any of the above groups of service and product providers based in Kenya that have formally registered to work with xkenya.com’s e-Payment service.

Transaction Process
All you have to do as a registered member to make other payments in Kenya through our e-Payment service is the following steps (after configuring your online members account to list your beneficiaries/dependants):

• select the beneficiary of the payment using their account number
• specify the amount to be paid to the relevant service/product provider
• repeat the above steps for as many of your beneficiaries as you desire
• confirm that you have enough funds to activate the entire transaction
• if not enough funds, deposit money in our bank account for activation

Upon activation, we shall complete the transaction on your behalf and inform the beneficiaries via email that their other payments have been paid by you for them.

We shall then update the above online transaction with the relevant receipt details – basically the receipt number issued to us by the service/product provider being paid.

Transaction Fees

We charge you a nominal fee of KShs. 72.50 (approx. US$ 1) for each other payment you instruct us to make on your behalf. In addition to this, there is a funds transfer fee of KShs. 725/- (approx. US$ 10) charged for any deposits you make in our bank account to activate your transactions.

Needless to say, this nominal fee per academic fee payment is only cost-effective for amounts above KShs. 1,000/- (approx. US$ 14). However, the nominal fee is reduced by 50% for members who pay for an annual subscription (KShs. 17,500/- or approx. US$ 240).

Repeat Transactions

Our online transaction gateway makes it really easy for you to make routine and repeat other payments for your various dependants/beneficiaries by using a template to bring up the last other payment details for all your dependants/beneficiaries.

The next time you want to make other payments, the template lists all your dependants/beneficiaries whom you have pre-configured for other payments and displays details of the last transaction (date and amount) to help you make a decision.
