Coverage Areas

Please note that our e-Payment service caters only for utility payments that can be made in Nairobi. We do not make payments to utility service providers based outside Nairobi. They must have an office in Nairobi.

However, we can still make utility payments on your behalf for your dependants or beneficiaries based outside Nairobi as long as we are making the actual payment to a utility service provider based in Nairobi.

Transaction Process

All you have to do as a registered member to make utility payments in Kenya through our e-Payment service is the following steps (after configuring your online members account to list your beneficiaries/dependants):

  • select the beneficiary of the utility payment using their account number
  • specify the amount to be paid to the relevant utility service provider
  • repeat the above steps for as many of your beneficiaries as you desire
  • ensure that you have enough funds to activate the entire transaction
  • Alternatively, deposit money sufficient funds in our bank account to activate the transaction

Upon activation, we shall complete the utility payment on your behalf and inform the beneficiary via email that the utility payment has been settled by you for them.

We shall then update the above online transaction with the receipt details – basically the receipt number issued to us by the utility service provider.

Transaction Fees

We charge you a nominal fee of KShs. 72.50 (approx. US$ 1) for each utility payment you instruct us to make on your behalf. In addition to this, there is a funds transfer fee of KShs. 725/- (approx. US$ 10) charged for any deposits you make in our bank account to activate your transactions.

Needless to say, this nominal fee per utility payment is only cost-effective for amounts above KShs. 1,000/- (approx. US$ 14). However, the nominal fee is reduced by 50% for members who pay an annual subscription (KShs. 17,500/- or approx. US$ 240).

Repeat Transactions

Our online transaction gateway makes it really easy for you to make routine and repeat utility payments for your various dependants/beneficiaries by using a template to bring up the last utility payment details for all your dependants/beneficiaries.

The next time you want to make utility payments, the template lists all your dependants/beneficiaries whom you have pre-configured for utility payments and displays details of the last transaction (date and amount) to help you make a decision.
